Profile - K C Kapoor

KC Kapoor is among the successful people in Gaddi community. He belong to village Mathrehr in Tehsil Palampur of Kangra district. He went to village schools and had been a brilliant student. His father Laxman D Kapoor was a shepherd-farmer, village head for over 15 years un-opposed and was a man of great principles. Laxman though illiterate supported his only son Kuldip Chand(KC) in education. KC went ahead joining Indian Administrative Services in 1972-73 and successfully served in Gujarat State and for Central Government level in New Delhi for several years. He served at very important positions in the government. He completed his tenure as Additional Chief Secretary for Govt of Gujarat at position, Principal Home Secretary. Thereafter he was re-appointed in govt and served as the State Election Commissioner for Gujarat state in India. At state election commission(SEC) he introduced number of electoral reforms, including on-line voting provisions.

KC at present lives in Gandhinagar,Gujarat with his wife Mrs. Ratnamala Kapoor. KC has a daughter and four sons.Daughter Ritu is married to Dr.Anil Verma who live in Kangra.Son Ranjit & wife Hema live in Himachal, works in Solan district for hydel power project management in Himachal. Son Ajit & wife Anjali live in United States at present,works in IT applications, son Sujeet & wife Jyoti live in New Delhi where he works as Lecturer in Hotel Management Institute and son Rohit works for IBM Business Process Outsourcing in Gurgaon, India.He is blessed with grand-kids as well.Each member in his family is quite independent and work hard. He has re-built his ancestoral house in his native village where he visits frequently each year and is deep rooted in his heritage.
